The Beloved Dead Oracle

This week's card pull and deck review from my deck collection, is the The Beloved Dead Oracle by Carrie Paris and Tina Hardt. It says it is a deck for divining ancestral wisdom and 'A hauntingly appealing divination deck' and after working with it, I am sure it is true. This deck was published in 2023, by Weiser Books.

This deck, is unique. It is designed to help you communicate with your beloved dead. Feeling as though you are getting insight, wisdom and advice from those beyond the veil is very easy using this deck.

I love the Spirit Throne card, to invite in your chosen ancestor to work with you. The act of love cards really drive your answers home, by offering advice then asking you to choose another card to narrow down the message. Here is one I pulled for myself regarding the direction of my work going forward, and as you can see it was pretty accurate!

The colours and style of the artwork is very old fashioned feeling and moody and perfect for this type of deck. This deck uses old photographs which really add to the overall messages. They have added wings to the people in a decoupage style that really looks amazing. I love the tarnished look to the cards as well. These are great for Ancestral work, but you could use them for journalling, other magic or manifestation as well.

This deck has the throne card, some acts of love cards and the main cards. The writing is done well with a very reflective tone and extra things here and there. This deck, I would recommend for those who wish to get a message from their loved ones, for a quick message, for contemplation, or as I have found; they work amazing as your card of the day.

There are 82 cards, and they are nice and thick, yet easy to shuffle - especially with tiny hands. On the front is the card artwork and name, and the backs are all the same. The card edges are gold foil, which looks fabulous.

This box is a magnetic flip box with insert and a teal ribbon that matches the wings on the card backs. The whole concept is really brilliant and I will be getting my own copy as soon as D can get some in stock.

Every spirit in this deck is a bright star in the constellation that lights your soul's enchanted path to the unlimited potential that is the future. These are the voices of your protective and guiding ancestors- spirit helpers who understand that there's great work to be done every minute you spend on this side of the veil.

There are 144 pages in the book with full colour images of the artwork, and the name, and message from your spirit helpers. The outside of the booklet is in full colour and it is quite a lovely little book in black with such a cool image from the prophecy card.

This deck is gorgeous and I hope if you are interested in communing with your departed beloved, get yourself a copy and take it home and give it the respect it deserves.
